Jack H. Arabian Receives 2007 IEEE Computer Society TTTC

2007 IEEE Computer Society TTTC Lifetime Contribution Medal goes to Jack H. Arabian. Lifetime Contribution Medal is the highest level of the award given by TTTC. It is presented for outstanding technical contributions that have made a fundamental impact on test technology. The TTTC Lifetime Contribution Award is to be granted periodically by TTTC and presented at the flagship TTTC event. A feature article will appear in IEEE Design&Test magazine. Past award recipients can be found by clicking here. The award was presented at the Plenary Session of 2007 IEEE International Test Conference on October 23 in Santa Clara, California. Yervant Zorian, Chair of TTTC LTC, presented Jack with the medal. Mrs. Arabian was also at the Plenary Session. Jack H. Arabian graduated from Harvard University & MIT. He first joined Draper Labs to work on gyroscope drift in space navigation. He also worked in Northrop, Polaroid, Foxboro, for his earlier career in aerospace industry. After he joined Digital Equipment Corporation and Hewlett Packard, Jack established pioneering R&D Program in PCB Test in both companies. He published Computer Integrated Electronics Manufacturing and Testing. He has disseminated PCB test knowledge for two decade. Jack H. Arabian founded Comparative Management Associates. He has contributed to four books and is working on his 5th. He invented “concurrent comparative simulation” in 1994. He also educated globally and served test community in ITC Committees. He received IEEE Meritorious Service Award in 1987. He published widely and received ITC and EWDTS Best Paper Awards. |
